Feeling Blue?

Cheesy title. I know.

You know, there are sooo many different techniques of smokey eye makeup, and no one is better or worse than the others, but some are certainly easier to achieve. And that's what I try and keep in mind when doing a smokey look tutorial - it should be easy enough for even a beginner with makeup to handle. Having said that, if you guys want to see slightly more advanced techniques of smokey eye makeup, just say the word!

And for now, enjoy this rich, jewel-toned, peacocky type blue smokey eye...

Also, lemme know what you guys want to see next!

hey! Love your make up video tips.

1. Is mineral foundation recommended if Karachi? (i.e. Hot and Humid - not matter what you do your make is gonna melt a little bit). Do you recommend the body shop mineral foundation?

2. I recently bought an eye make-up palette from Karaja. (http://www.karaja-make-up.it/)
I hadn't heard of it before but its apparently an italian brand and they have miniralize eye makeup that *kind of* looks like the MAC minaralize eye colors.
I bought the aquacolors set for 4,400 PKR (sounds like a lot in PKR - but it generally has desi friendly colors. See link: http://www.thebeautyroom-ni.co.uk/Karaja-Make-Up.html The palette I bought has Aquacolors #4,5,6,8,10,11,12,13,14,16 in it. Not not a bad deal considering that.)

I'm pretty happy with the colors, but they are VERY shimmery. I would love it if you could do a video on how to use these shades / shimmery colors BUT applied to be work appropriate. Also would love to see something about how to do bright bold lipsticks or eyeshadows but skill keep it professional looking.

Thanks!

Hey Umbreen! Thanks for your comment babe! :)

1. Mineral makeup works quite well in Karachi weather actually. I haven't used the Body Shop one so I cant say anything about it, but I made my mum start using the Maybelline Mineral Foundation and it works really well. The trick with mineral foundation however is that to get a natural, dewy finish you really need to take your time buffing and blending it into the skin.

2. The colours in your palette seem really pretty! To make it more appropriate for work, make sure you use a matte eyeshadow base underneath to tone down the shimmer. Also, dont use more than one colour at a time (e.g. a soft wash all over the lid). Or maximum two colours (a wash all over the lid and a deeper color in the crease).

Also, I really wouldnt recommend doing a bold lip or eye to work - it just doesn't look appropriate, I think. Stick to neutral shadows and nude lips for work (they look better in the day time anyway) and save your darker, richer colours for night time events! :)
